The Translation option allows the developer to produce a runtime user interface in a language different to the one that was used during the development of the application. The developer must flag which words or phrases within the application that are to be translated; these words or phrases could be the List Values or properties of an object, or even the Caption on Dialog controls or in text embedded inside a Procedure. Knowledge Builder can then produce a text file containing a column for the flagged text, a column showing where that text occurs and another column for the developer to provide the desired translation. This translation table is produced at development time and used at generation of the runtime. The user can check their installation by looking at the Product Info dialog accessed via the 'Help / About Knowledge Builder' menu in Knowledge Builder.
